Epiphany Saratoga
Epiphany is a year-round professional theater now in its second year in Saratoga Springs. We believe that theater is for public dialogue. We believe that art is for its community. And we believe that Saratoga is the place for Epiphany.
Epiphany Theater Company was founded in 1999 to support the work of talented and trained early career artists while working to make theater accessible to all. Over the years, nine artists have gone on to Broadway productions, over 40 new plays have been developed in readings and workshops, and the work of over 200 emerging artists has been supported.
As soon as we stepped foot in Saratoga, we knew this was a match. When asked what makes Saratoga a great place to live, most Saratogians start their list with art and culture. And yet, there is no year-round professional theater in the city. While the area has dinner theater and a vibrant community theater, brochures in the Visitors Center ask visitors to travel as far as Albany for professional resident theater!
Well attended theaters increase patronage at nearby restaurants, bars, and shops. They create effective advertising and marketing opportunities for local businesses, and they offer unique educational opportunities as they explore classic and contemporary dramatic literature on a wide range of topics.
